Based in the Hamilton CBD, Anglesea OMS is one of the largest Oral and Maxillofacial clinics in Waikato. With three surgeons in the practice, Anglesea OMS is also able to provide full emergency cover for referring practitioners.

Anglesea OMS was purpose built for oral and maxillofacial surgery. We employ proven up-to-date equipment and techniques including the use of Piezo surgical cutting instruments, Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF), laser surgery & Hilotherm cryotherapy.
For traceability and additional security, our sterilisation equipment and processes include the Meditrax sterilisation tracking system.

History of Anglesea OMS
Anglesea OMS was born out of a single surgeon practice in 1976. Peter Clarke was the original surgeon and after many decades operating solo, he was joined by Brian Whitley in 2000. After several moves in premises, the Practice as it currently stands, opened in 2006 when Angus Colquhoun joined the group. In 2011 Simon Lou joined the Practice after his return from his fellowship training and working as a head and neck consultant surgeon in the UK.
Peter Clarke retired from practice in 2014 and more recently Brian Whitley retired at the end of 2025.
In May 2025, Anglesea OMS was very pleased to have attracted Satish Madhavarajan to join the group. Satish is a graduate of the United Kingdom OMFS training system and was working as a Consultant OMFS surgeon at University Hospitals Sussex on the south coast of the UK when he decided NZ was an attractive place to emigrate to and Anglesea OMS and Hamilton was the fortunate place he chose. He brings with him extensive experience in craniomaxillofacial trauma surgery as well as his special interest skills in skin surgery. In the UK he operated at a number of private hospitals in addition to his NHS practice and surgical management of benign and malignant skin lesions is his passion. His wife has joined Cambridge Medical Centre as a valued GP and they have 3 children.
We are proud of Anglesea OMS. The surgeons have a combined experience of over 50 years of all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. We have a state of the art practice with all the equipment and surgical expertise to provide a complete service to our patients and with three surgeons in the practice we are able to provide a comprehensive service for our referring practitioners.
