Our Services

Anglesea OMS treats conditions, defects, and injuries to teeth, the mouth, jaws and face and neck.

Our Services include dental extraction, wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, removal of benign and malignant lesions, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, salivary gland surgery, jaw joint surgery and reconstructive surgery.

Dental Extraction

A specialist oral and maxillofacial surgeon may be needed to remove teeth/retained tooth roots, due to:

  • Damage caused by decay, broken down large fillings, or trauma
  • Impacted teeth – e.g. wisdom teeth, supernumerary teeth
  • Overcrowding
  • A tooth with no function (without an opposing tooth)
  • Vertical cracks in tooth root
  • Failed root fillings

Contact Anglesea OMS to arrange an appointment with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, to discuss treatment options.

Dental Implants

Many types of modern implants and prostheses are available. If you have/will have a tooth or teeth missing, dental implant options may include:

  • Replacing a missing tooth with a crown
  • Replacing several missing teeth with a bridge
  • For a dental arch with no teeth, a fixed prosthesis or removable overdenture

Contact Anglesea OMS for an appointment with a specialist implant oral surgeon, to discuss which implant is best for you

Cone Beam CT Scan

Anglesea OMS is the only oral and maxillofacial clinic in New Zealand with the latest Axeos 3D Cone Beam CT Scanner – onsite for CBCT Scans.

The 3D Scanner gives our oral surgeons the best possible image quality. A faster, low-dose (one exposure) 3D x-ray of the skull, jaws and teeth enables surgeons to accurately assess and diagnose areas of concern.

As a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider, if your Policy provides cover for CBCT Scans, we may be able to organise prior Approval on your behalf.
